THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND YOU HAVE PAID US NOTHING TO USE IT. 4B. Binding Individual Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY — IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.

You and LegalCostCalc agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site ("Dispute") will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for Disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

Class-action and jury-trial waiver. You and LegalCostCalc each waive the right to a jury trial and agree that any arbitration or proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a class or representative proceeding.

If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular Dispute, then that Dispute (and only that Dispute) may proceed in court, subject to the governing law and venue provisions below, but the remainder of this arbitration provision will remain in force for all other Disputes.

5. Intellectual Property

All original content on this Site — including text, design, layout, and compiled cost datasets — is owned by or licensed to LegalCostCalc and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, scrape, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.

6. Third-Party & Affiliate Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites and legal service providers. Some of these links are advertisements or affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission or flat advertising fee if you click through, at no additional cost to you. These placements are advertising, not a referral or recommendation. We do not recommend or endorse any particular attorney, firm, or service, we do not vet or evaluate the third parties that appear, and we do not control the content of any third-party site or the outcome of any engagement you enter into with them. Subject to the arbitration provision in Section 4B above, any Dispute not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
